T-Levels

T Levels are a two-year high quality technical based qualification, designed by employers to meet the knowledge and skills valued in the sector. The programme focuses on vocational skills and are designed to equip learners into skilled work, apprenticeships or higher education.

The T Level programme is equivalent to 3 A Levels which can lead onto degree level study, employment or an apprenticeship and are viewed as an alternative form of study for 16-19 year olds. Learners will spend 80% in the classroom/workshop and 20% with an employer so that a full range of skills are developed.

Within the T Level, the learner will complete the following:

  • The technical qualification which will include the core content (theory) and an occupational specialism (pathway) to provide the learner with the practical skills required for the world of work.
  • An industry placement (minimum of 315 hours) with an employer related to your chosen occupational specialism.
  • An Employer set project

Our unique pathways offer clear progression into higher studies at university.

We have used the latest careers information to select the right blend of qualifications to give you the best opportunity to be ready for the next level of study as well as gain valuable work and industrial experience in your chosen pathway.

Our two-year study programmes also include tutorials, project work, enrichment sessions, leadership tasks, career-focused visits and trips as well as work experience.

In the second year, students take an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), to support their progression into higher education. For all pathways, students must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Level 4 (C) or above including English Language and Mathematics.

In addition to these subjects, there will also be project work, tutorials, enrichment sessions, leadership tasks, visits and trips as well as work experience. In the second year, all students will take an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) to help support progression to higher education,

Remember these combinations of subjects don’t just lead to careers in the group areas, for example, the Teaching Academy enables you to gain the qualifications that can lead to being a lawyer.
